We have been getting tons of suggestions via our Suggest a Band link. We are always glad to get feedback on bands we missed. Our current database is just south of 100 bands. We are doing our best to keep up with all the suggestions. We have missed some pretty obvious bands, so those are the ones we will be adding first. Then we will work our way to more local and regional rock bands from the 90s.

Rather than sending our your response via the form, we will also be checking this forum for any new band suggestions.

How about the Screaming Trees or Green River and I will think of many more later. Cool

I have tons of great suggestions waiting in the cue. I will probably create a sticky post this week to keep track of them all. I just got The Presidents of the Unites States up yesterday. My goal is to get 2-3 new bands up each week.

I suggest that you keep everything just in the 90's.  Even the discographies, that way it is a great resource of just 1990's Alternative Rock music.  Like you said get the obvious original bands updated and add the more underground bands.  And just stick to "Alternative" Rock, Guns and Roses, Linkin Park, & Limp Biskit are not alternative rock.  I put a lot of suggestions in the box, but here are many that need to be added...

Bob Mould, Frank Black & the Catholics, Archers of Loaf, Guided By Voices, Superchunk, Jeff Buckley, Sunny Day Real Estate, Jesus & Mary Chain, John Spencer Blues Explosion, Juliana Hatfield, Lemonheads, Matthew Sweet, Mercury Rev, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Morrissey, My Bloody Valentine, Nada Surf, Ned's Atomic Dustbin, Neutral Milk Hotel, Paul Westerberg, Placebo, Portishead, Pulp, Quicksand, Seaweed, The Verve, Sebadoh, Shudder to Think, Social Distortion, Wilco, Uncle Tupelo, Soul Coughing, Afghan Whigs, Soup Dragons, Superdrag, Swervedriver, Teenage Fanclub, Urge Overkill, Violent Femmes
